The first prototype of the scanner is currently printing!! I will probably have to make quite a few iterations before it is perfect, but progress is progress. I will keep this page updated.

As for software, I'll try to figure it out. I can control the servos with the pi, and while I haven't tested the camera, it should be easy enough. It's probably mostly a matter of tweaking settings to see what yields the best results.
I chose a pi because I want to host a web server to control it from (sort of like Klipper), but I am not really familiar with web dev besides some self hosting I've done. I'll have to look into it. If you are a web dev and want to help with this project, please shoot me a message! I plan to make all the files open source once I'm done.
