I enjoy worldbuilding and writing for Tabletop Roleplaying games, I am planning to migrate my wiki to a website, be on the lookout as I'll be linking it here!

I have many gripes with contemporary genres and the way in which they restrict creativity, TTRPGs are often boiled down to "D&D" which is very generic/tolkinian fantasy and Sci-Fi is more often than not very space-opera-esque adventure.

In my media consumption I enjoy worlds and genres that stray from those norms, steampunk and cyberpunk are two particular favourite of mines

It comes into effect in my writing as I tend to enjoy high-fantasy and (for lack of a better word) high-tech arcane, but also hard-sci-fi in the sense of having rigid logic for the inner-mechanisms of those concepts.

And so while it probably would be most closely linked to fantasy, my world is very modern in many ways and includes a lot of advanced technologies that are based on magic. I like to call it Scipunk since I don't think it can quite fit into existing genres.
